Lyrical Boss and Zsura have been crowned the 2026 KOSCAB Junior Party Monarch champions, capturing the Jumpy and Groovy titles respectively during this year's Antigua Carnival celebrations. According to Antigua News Room, both young performers stood out in a competition that showcased the next generation of Antiguan and Barbudan soca talent.
Lyrical Boss claimed the Jumpy Monarch crown with the song "Making Bread," edging out Soca J, whose entry "Paper Fight" earned first runner-up honours. Jamario rounded out the top three with "Look How Me Mash Up De Place," securing the second runner-up position.
In the unjudged Jumpy category awards, Jamario was named Best New Artist, while Lyrical Boss added the Best Performer accolade to his championship title.
In the Groovy category, Zsura delivered a winning performance with "Small Package" to claim the top prize. Ava finished as first runner-up with "Play Ground," while Ruez placed second runner-up with "Be Mine."
Zsura's dominance extended beyond the championship title, as the young performer swept the judged special awards, earning both Best New Artist and Best Performer honours in the Groovy category.
The unjudged Groovy special awards were distributed among several competitors. Marz received the Leadership Award, Dreya won the Most Punctual Award, Cutie and Princess Lay Lay shared the Most Improved Award, and Jamario took home the People's Choice Award.
The competition formed a vibrant part of the broader Antigua Carnival programme, with young performers delivering energetic sets that highlighted the depth of emerging soca talent across the twin-island nation.
