Antiguan hospitality professional Auslando Davis has been selected for the prestigious Tales of the Cocktail Foundation's Global Beverage Scholarship, according to Antigua News Room.
Davis, who serves as assistant food and beverage manager at Curtain Bluff, was chosen from a competitive pool of applicants from around the world.
The scholarship will send him to the 24th annual Tales of the Cocktail Conference in New Orleans from July 19 to 26, where he will engage with international beverage industry leaders and advance his professional expertise.
"This is a tremendous opportunity to learn from some of the best in the global beverage industry and bring that knowledge and experience back home to Antigua and Barbuda," Davis said.
"I look forward to applying what I learn to support, mentor and inspire bartenders and emerging beverage professionals as we continue to elevate the standard of our local hospitality industry," he added.
His selection places Antigua and Barbuda among the nations represented at the international conference, which draws beverage professionals from across the globe.
