The FACE OFF concert will proceed as scheduled, promoters have confirmed, following news that Sir Clarence "Oungku" Edwards' ongoing health concerns have forced several headline acts to withdraw from the event.
According to Antigua Observer, promoters received word of Sir Oungku's health issues on Wednesday afternoon. The development directly affected advertised performances by Burning Flames, Red Hot Flames, and FACE OFF itself.
Despite the setbacks, organisers moved quickly to reassure the public. "To everyone asking about FACE OFF, rest assured, the show goes on," a statement from promoters read. They added that Sir Oungku's health and wellbeing remain their top priority and extended wishes for his full and speedy recovery.
Stepping into the breach is Tian Winter, who has accepted the challenge to face Dominica's Triple K on stage. Winter will be joined by some of Antigua's biggest musical acts, with the lineup now framed as both a competitive showcase and a tribute to Sir Oungku.
"I, Tian Winter, will proudly step onto the stage and accept the challenge to battle Dominica's finest, Triple K," the statement continued.
Promoters are urging the public to rally behind Team Antigua and help make the evening a memorable occasion.
