Employees of the APUA Cooperative Credit Union staged a sit-in on Monday morning over a number of unresolved workplace concerns, according to Antigua News Room.
Office Manager Melissa Southwell declined to speak on the matter when contacted by reporters, offering only a brief "no comment" before ending the conversation.
The APUA Cooperative Credit Union operates independently of the Antigua Public Utilities Authority's management. The institution is owned by APUA employees, who hold shares in the credit union.
The industrial action comes just over a year after the credit union's management and the Antigua and Barbuda Workers' Union (ABWU), which represents the employees, signed their first collective agreement.
The situation remains ongoing. Further details are expected as they become available.
