Antigua and Barbuda celebrated a double podium finish in the women's 100 metres at the 2026 OECS Track and Field Championships, with Geolyna Dowdye winning silver and Soniya Jones taking bronze at the Kim Collins Athletics Stadium in St. Kitts.

According to Antigua News Room, Dowdye crossed the finish line in 11.47 seconds to claim second place, while Jones finished third in 11.65 seconds. Both athletes delivered strong performances in the championship final.

The gold medal was claimed by Saint Lucia's Jady Emmanuel, who won the race in 11.39 seconds.

The medal ceremony carried a special significance for Antigua and Barbuda, as the awards were presented by national sprint legend Daniel "Bakka" Bailey. Bailey, who still holds the OECS Championships men's 100 metres record of 10.19 seconds — set in 2014 — was met with warm applause as he congratulated the country's newest medal winners.

The two medals added to Antigua and Barbuda's growing tally at the championships, further strengthening what has been a successful campaign across both track and field events.
