A twelve-year-old Antiguan culinary talent has put Antigua and Barbuda on the international food map, claiming top honours at a prestigious Caribbean cooking competition held in Canada.

According to Antigua Observer, Gigar Campbell was named the overall winner of the Grace Junior Chef Challenge, impressing judges with an island-inspired menu that highlighted Caribbean flavour, creativity, and confidence.

The Grace Junior Chef Challenge formed part of the Island Eats Toronto Food and Travel Festival, a celebration of Caribbean food, travel, and culture.
