Nine swimmers departed Antigua on Friday to represent the nation at the 5th PanAm Aquatics Swimming Championships, set to take place July 8 to 12, 2026, in Ibagué, Colombia. According to Antigua.news, the Antigua and Barbuda Swimming Federation (ABSF) selected the squad to compete against top swimmers from across the Americas.
The team features athletes across four age categories. Representing the Girls 13–15 group are Anya DeGannes and Willow Zreibi. The Boys 13–15 contingent includes Alessandro Bazzoni, Jamie Tranter, and N'Yriq Weste. Reuben Edwards, Espriit Shaw, and Jai Sindhi will compete in the Boys 16–18 category, while Tony Goodwin represents the Boys 19 & Over group.
Leading the delegation are Head Coach Wayne Mitchell, Team Manager Anna Salerno-Mitchell, and Chaperone Daniela Casmiro.
Also travelling to Colombia is Vipers Swim Club athlete Malique Josephs, who will compete independently in the Boys 13–15 age group.
The championships are expected to draw top junior and senior swimmers from across North, Central, and South America, giving Antigua and Barbuda's athletes a chance to measure themselves against elite regional competition.
The ABSF has called on the public to rally behind the team as they carry the nation's flag on the international stage.
