The Antigua and Barbuda Swimming Federation (ABSF) has announced the official team selected to represent the twin-island nation at the 5th PanAm Aquatics Swimming Championships, scheduled for July 8–12, 2026, in Ibagué, Colombia.
According to Antigua News Room, nine swimmers have met the qualifying standard and will compete under the national flag at the continental championship. The athletes are divided across age groups, with representatives in the Girls 13–15 and Boys 19 & over categories.
PanAm Aquatics serves as the governing body for all aquatic sports across the Americas. The championship is designed to bring together the top age-group swimmers from across the continent, highlighting emerging talent and the future of aquatic sports in the region.
Leading the contingent will be Head Coach Wayne Mitchell, with Anna Salerno-Mitchell serving as Team Manager and Daniela Casmiro as Chaperone. Vipers Club swimmer Malique Josephs, competing in the 13–15 age group, will also attend the championship.
The ABSF extended congratulations to all qualifying swimmers, commending them for their dedication and hard work in preparation for the event. The team is scheduled to depart on Friday, July 3rd, ahead of the competition's opening.
The federation is encouraging the nation to rally behind the athletes as they prepare to represent Antigua and Barbuda on the continental stage.
