Liberty Caribbean has announced that all mobile voice calls to Venezuela will be zero-rated for both prepaid and postpaid customers, effective immediately, in response to the earthquakes that have recently struck the country. According to Antigua News Room, the relief initiative will remain in place through July 6.

The move is designed to allow customers across Liberty Caribbean's operating markets to check on family and friends in Venezuela without incurring call charges during the crisis period.

"When communities are affected by natural disasters, the first instinct for many people is to reach the ones they love. In moments like these, a simple phone call can bring reassurance, hope and comfort. We want our customers to know that, during this difficult time, staying connected to family and friends in Venezuela should be one less thing to worry about," said Britta Reinhardt, Chief Commercial Officer of Liberty Caribbean.

Liberty Caribbean operates the Flow, Liberty Business and BTC brands across the region.

Reinhardt emphasized the company's connection to the wider Caribbean community as part of the decision to act. "As a Caribbean company, we know the uncertainty and anxiety that follows events like these. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the earthquakes, and particularly with our colleagues, customers and the Venezuelan community across our region who are anxiously checking on loved ones. This is a moment when connection matters most," she added.

The zero-rated calling initiative is available to eligible prepaid and postpaid mobile customers across Liberty Caribbean's operating markets, including Flow and BTC, for calls placed to Venezuela during the designated support period.
