Jumby Bay has directed a contractor to remove seaweed that was dumped near Parham following complaints from local residents about improper disposal. According to Antigua News Room, the resort's executive management addressed the matter with Minister of Social and Urban Transformation Rawdon Turner on Tuesday morning.
In an official statement, Jumby Bay said it acted immediately upon becoming aware of the issue. The resort confirmed that its contractor had been instructed to clear the seaweed without delay.
The resort also announced that additional monitoring measures would be introduced to strengthen compliance with environmental standards, signalling a broader effort to prevent similar incidents in the future.
