Antigua and Barbuda Under-20 captain Keyonte George is reportedly set to miss the upcoming CONCACAF Under-20 Championship in Mexico after being left out of the national squad for disciplinary reasons, according to Antigua.news.

Sources familiar with the matter indicate that the Germany-based striker is not expected to be included in the 21-man squad the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) is due to announce ahead of the team's departure for Mexico later this week.

As reported by Antigua.news, George's omission follows an incident during a recent friendly match in which he allegedly became involved in a confrontation with Under-20 head coach Schyan Jeffers. Sources claim the disagreement escalated to the point where George walked off the field and removed his playing jersey, prompting disciplinary action from the coaching staff.

Neither the ABFA nor the player has publicly commented on the matter.

The CONCACAF Under-20 Championship runs from July 24 to August 9, with Antigua and Barbuda placed in Group B. The official squad is expected to be announced before the team's scheduled departure on Thursday.

George had captained the young Benna Boys through their successful qualifying campaign in Costa Rica earlier this year, where Antigua and Barbuda finished unbeaten in Group C to secure their place in the championship.
