Senator Lamin Newton says Antigua and Barbuda is actively seeking to strengthen international partnerships following his participation in the Morocco-OECS Economic Promotion Week. According to Antigua News Room, Newton represented the country at the forum, where officials explored opportunities to expand trade, attract investment and deepen economic cooperation between the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States and Morocco.
Newton said discussions at the forum centred on building strategic relationships to support entrepreneurship, sustainable development and long-term economic growth for small island developing states.
The event also provided an opportunity for Newton to exchange ideas with regional and international partners and gather insights that could help advance Antigua and Barbuda's development goals.
Newton said representing the country on the international stage opens doors to build meaningful relationships, learn from global partners and identify initiatives that could directly benefit the people of Antigua and Barbuda.
