The Antigua and Barbuda National Accreditation Board (ABNAB) is intensifying its push to strengthen the country's quality assurance framework, undertaking a series of accreditation training and preparation sessions aimed at securing long-term institutional growth and international recognition. According to Antigua.news, the initiative reflects ABNAB's broader commitment to building a modern, efficient and globally competitive accreditation system.
Central to the effort is the integration of digital transformation into ABNAB's accreditation processes. The Board has identified technology as a critical component of building a more responsive institution, stating that the incorporation of digital systems will create a more robust, transparent and efficient framework for quality assurance — one equipped to meet both current and future demands.
Joining the team for the latest round of preparations is digital development consultant Kenlie Browne, who is working alongside accreditation consultant Perliter Walters-Gilliam and members of the ABNAB team to further develop and refine the Board's accreditation processes.
The Board described the collaborative effort as a significant step in transforming how Antigua and Barbuda approaches standards, quality assurance and institutional development.
ABNAB emphasised that its work extends beyond addressing immediate needs, with the goal of laying a sustainable foundation for the future. The Board said it is committed to ensuring the country's accreditation systems remain relevant, innovative and aligned with international best practices.
ABNAB said it will continue to provide updates as it advances its accreditation and digital transformation initiatives in pursuit of institutional excellence and national development.
