According to Antigua News Room, the scholarships were granted through the hospital's Learning and Development Unit to support employees pursuing additional training and professional qualifications.
The recipients include registered nurses Jolene Punter-Prescott and Abbey-Gayle Walsh, both of whom will undertake studies in Supervisory Management. Nursing assistant Kimmone Excell will pursue a Certificate in End of Life Care, while Shadia Joseph will study Financial Management Essentials. Shawn Bailey will complete an Introduction to Human Resources Management course.
SLBMC stated that the initiative reflects its commitment to supporting the professional growth of staff members and recognising employees who have demonstrated dedication to continuous learning and service excellence.
