The Rotary Club of Antigua has received a donation of more than EC$10,000 from Automotive Arts and Outdoor World Antigua in support of its flagship fundraising event, Colours 2026. According to Antigua News Room, the contribution was presented during a brief handover ceremony on Friday.
The annual fundraiser will be held under the theme "Welcome to Smurf Village," with a concept centred on community empowerment and youth development. That focus proved decisive in securing the sponsorship.
"Supporting youth entrepreneurship is very close to my heart, and when I learned that this would be a major focus of the Rotary Club of Antigua's efforts this year, I was delighted to come on board as a sponsor," said Robert Shoul, owner of Automotive Arts and Outdoor World Antigua.
Shoul's involvement carries personal significance. He follows in the footsteps of his late father, Mr. Stephen Shoul, who was a long-serving member of the Rotary Club of Antigua.
Proceeds from the Colours Fete support the Rotary Club's wide range of community-based projects and initiatives across Antigua and Barbuda. Group Manager Marsha Kalloo said the Automotive Arts and Outdoor World team is focused on delivering a standout experience for attendees.
"We have some exciting plans for all our patrons. We hope to elevate the experience with a special glow-in-the-dark miniature golf zone within Smurf Village, complete with lots of prizes and surprises," Kalloo said.
Colours 2026: Welcome to Smurf Village is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Coolidge Cricket Ground, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are priced at an all-inclusive EC$300 and are available at Automotive Arts on Old Parham Road and Tropic Wear in Heritage Quay.
The event will feature performances by Kaution Band, Claudette CP Peters and the Disturbance Band, with a special guest appearance by Menace XL. The Original Burning Flames will headline the night.
