Former West Indies, Leeward Islands, and Antigua and Barbuda cricketer Winston Benjamin has called for a consistent and properly structured cricket programme, arguing it is essential to raising the standard of the game at both the youth and senior levels.
According to Antigua Observer, Benjamin, who represented the region at the highest level of the sport, expressed concern that cricket at the local level has been performing poorly for quite some time.
Benjamin's position reflects a growing conversation within the local sporting community about the development pathways available to young cricketers in Antigua and Barbuda.
