Dr. Dave Ray, a US-based national of Antigua and Barbuda, has been awarded an Honoris Causa — Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration — by EuroAsian University (Tallinn, Estonia) at the Grand Doctorate Convocation Ceremony held in San Francisco on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
Dr. Ray received the honorary degree in recognition of 37 years of transformative entrepreneurship across Antigua and the United States, during which he created and sustained employment for 173 people. He was among 93 honorees at the convocation, representing a global cohort drawn from across the Caribbean — including St. Kitts and Nevis, Barbados, Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, The Bahamas, and Belize — as well as Africa, Europe, Canada, and multiple US states.
A scholar-practitioner with deep academic credentials, Dr. Ray holds a PhD in Business Management and Applied Sciences from Walden University (August 2010) and a Doctorate in Professional Cosmetology from the National Institute of Cosmetology, accredited by the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa (July 2012). He currently serves as the US Diaspora Official for the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.
"Recognition is meaningful only when it multiplies impact," Dr. Ray said. "Inspiring others is not enough — we must influence action. I'm committed to raising the bar for my five grandchildren, and to sharing institutional knowledge that advances the beauty industry and supports economic opportunity across communities."
Throughout his career, Dr. Ray has functioned as an industry catalyst — leading seminars and workshops, conducting product research and development for major companies, and preparing products for both general and ethnic markets. His work bridges entrepreneurial leadership, applied research, and tangible workforce development.
