The Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority (ECCAA) has formally opened an expanded headquarters complex at V.C. Bird International Airport, marking a significant step forward in regional aviation oversight.

According to Antigua Observer, the opening ceremony on Thursday marked the completion of a second building at the airport site, following the authority's initial relocation there in December 2023. Officials stated that the expansion is intended to strengthen the ECCAA's capacity to oversee civil aviation operations across the Eastern Caribbean region.

The new complex represents a continued investment in the infrastructure supporting regional air safety and regulatory administration. The ECCAA serves as the primary civil aviation authority for several Eastern Caribbean states, making the expansion of its operational facilities a matter of regional significance.
