Newly elected Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) President Ickford "Nyah" Roberts is preparing to appoint former national and West Indies youth cricketer Zorol Barthley as the organisation's new General Secretary, according to Antigua Observer.

Roberts, a former national striker, was elected to the ABFA presidency during last week's electoral congress. He has since confirmed plans to bring Barthley — a recognised figure in local and regional sport — into the top administrative role at the football body.

Barthley's background in cricket at both the national and West Indies youth levels marks a notable crossover into football administration, signalling that Roberts may be seeking experienced sporting figures to help reshape the association's leadership structure.

As reported by Antigua Observer, the formal confirmation of Barthley's appointment is expected to be announced by Roberts in the coming days.
