Antigua and Barbuda is advancing plans to overhaul its waste management infrastructure through a regional Waste-to-Energy initiative and the introduction of new landfill technology, according to Antigua Observer.

Officials say the initiative is part of broader regional efforts to promote circular economy practices and strengthen climate resilience across Caribbean nations.

A workshop held on May 19 under the Zero Waste in the Caribbean Project brought together stakeholders to advance the regional agenda, as reported by Antigua Observer.
