A local tutoring company has launched a community outreach initiative to bolster academic support for students at All Saints Secondary School, with learners in classes 1A1 and 2A1 identified as primary beneficiaries, according to Antigua.news.
The initiative, carried out on Friday, saw students receive exam preparation packages designed to aid revision and strengthen academic readiness ahead of upcoming assessments.
Andrecia Lewis, founder of A.G.L Tutoring and a former teacher at the school, led the visit. She said the effort was driven by a personal desire to give back to an institution that played a meaningful role in her professional career.
"As a former teacher at the school, it was important for me to give back and continue supporting students in meaningful ways," Lewis said.
Lewis noted that the initiative is especially focused on students who may benefit from additional academic reinforcement and motivation. Beyond classroom support, she also shared a personal dimension of her work, disclosing that she is neurodivergent and lives with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). She said her lived experience has deepened her commitment to advocating for and supporting differently abled students.
Lewis emphasised that students perform better when provided with the right environment, understanding, and resources, adding that even modest interventions can have a significant impact on both confidence and academic performance.
She further stated that A.G.L Tutoring's mission extends beyond improving grades — it also seeks to promote inclusion and raise awareness for neurodivergent learners within Antigua and Barbuda's broader education system.
Lewis said she plans to continue similar outreach efforts as part of her wider commitment to student development and greater equity in education.
