Georgetta Lewis-Buchanan, a veteran national footballer, coach, and sports administrator, has formally announced her candidacy for First Vice President of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA).

According to Antigua News Room, Lewis-Buchanan brings more than two decades of experience across football, athletics, and sports leadership to her campaign. She represented Antigua and Barbuda as a national football player for approximately 20 years, earning multiple individual honours including Golden Boots, Most Valuable Player awards, and Player of the Year recognitions.

Her sporting achievements extend beyond the football pitch. Lewis-Buchanan competed internationally in martial arts, winning three gold medals at the World Games in Melbourne, Australia in 2000, and claiming first-place finishes at the U.S. Open Tournament in both 2004 and 2005.

As a coach, she guided teams to multiple school championships, including Princess Margaret Secondary School titles between 2014 and 2016. She also served as Head Coach of Wings SC from 2019 to 2024, was awarded the CPTSA Outstanding Coach Award in 2025, and was shortlisted for the CONCACAF Female Coach of the Year award in 2016.

Lewis-Buchanan has further invested in football administration and education, completing several FIFA courses covering grassroots development, refereeing, administration, and coaching. She currently holds the position of Assistant Coach at Empire FC and serves as Secretary of Old Road FC.
