Minister of State in the Ministry of Tourism, the Honourable Michael Freeland joined tourism officials and industry stakeholders at V.C. Bird International Airport on Sunday to welcome delegates arriving for the 44th Annual Caribbean Travel Marketplace, hosted by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA).

The meet-and-greet activities marked the official start of delegate arrivals ahead of the landmark event, which Antigua and Barbuda is proudly hosting. The Caribbean Travel Marketplace, now in its 44th year, is one of the region's most prominent tourism industry gatherings, bringing together hospitality professionals, travel buyers, and destination representatives from across the Caribbean and beyond.

The Ministry of Tourism announced that the event is now underway, with Antigua and Barbuda serving as the backdrop for what is expected to be several days of networking, trade sessions, and strategic discussions aimed at strengthening the Caribbean's tourism sector.
