Cedar Grove Gunners and Phoenix opened their respective best-of-three playoff series with impressive Game One victories on Tuesday night at the JSC Basketball Complex, according to Antigua Observer.

The Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) Playoffs got underway with a double-header, with both teams seizing early momentum heading into the remainder of their series.

In the opening contest of the evening, the Gunners were powered by a standout performance from Scotty Nelson, who contributed 15 points to secure the victory for Cedar Grove.

Phoenix followed suit in the second game of the night, also recording a Game One triumph to put themselves in a strong position in their own series.
