The Antigua and Barbuda College of Advanced Studies (ABCAS) is set to host the nation's first-ever Electric Vehicle and Battery Technology Workshop early next month, marking a significant step forward in the country's engagement with clean energy and sustainable transportation.

According to Antigua Observer, the workshop is the result of a collaborative arrangement involving several prominent institutions, including The University of the West Indies, the National Training Authority (NTA), the International Climate Initiative, the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, and the Mona Academy.

The event signals a growing commitment within Antigua and Barbuda to build local capacity in emerging green technologies, as electric vehicles continue to gain traction across the Caribbean region and beyond. By bringing together international partners and local stakeholders, ABCAS aims to provide participants with foundational knowledge in electric vehicle systems and battery technology.

Further details regarding the workshop's full agenda, registration process, and target audience are expected to be released in the coming days ahead of the early next month start date.
