Construction at the Antigua Cruise Port has entered a new phase, with developers confirming that the first concrete foundation for a planned Day Club pool has been poured as work accelerates across the upland development site.
According to Antigua News Room, multiple buildings are also progressing, with exterior finishes now taking shape. Brightly coloured facades are being added to the structures, with the design drawing on Caribbean themes — most notably the installation of signature blue rooftops inspired by the surrounding sea.
Additional works are underway across designated retail spaces, where windows and doors are being fitted as part of preparations for new onshore visitor experiences tied to the port's broader redevelopment.
The project is backed by Global Ports Holding and forms part of a wider transformation of the St. John's waterfront aimed at strengthening Antigua and Barbuda's cruise tourism product.
Developers have also signalled that LICCOM will soon begin construction on an expanded parking facility. The new lot is expected to link Lower Church Street with Newgate Street, improving access and traffic flow in the capital.
The ongoing works represent what stakeholders are describing as the next phase of development at the port, with additional amenities and infrastructure continuing to take shape in the months ahead.
