Veteran volleyballer Rosemarie "Rosie" Simon has outlined a clear agenda centred on grassroots development and youth programmes should she be elected the next president of the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association (ABAVA).
According to Antigua Observer, Simon expressed a deep personal commitment to nurturing young talent within the sport as the foundation of her potential leadership platform.
"I have a passion for youth, so I definitely would be focused on grassroots and youth programmes," Simon told Antigua Observer.
Simon, a seasoned figure in local volleyball circles, is positioning herself as a candidate who would prioritise building the sport from the ground up. Her emphasis on youth development signals an intent to expand participation at the junior level and reignite broader interest in volleyball across Antigua and Barbuda.
