The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) is carrying out overnight works along Buckleys Line to connect a new 10-inch high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipeline, according to Antigua News Room.
The Water Business Unit is currently on site completing the installation, with testing and commissioning of the new line expected to begin as early as tomorrow.
The upgrade replaces an older pipeline that was prone to frequent breaks. Officials say the new connection will deliver a stronger, more resilient water supply and improve overall service quality for residents in the area.
APUA is asking motorists to exercise caution when approaching the work zone. A temporary bypass route is currently in effect for the duration of the works.
