ST. JOHN'S, Antigua — April 10, 2026 — The Eastern Caribbean Amalgamated Bank (ECAB) has donated $6,000 in support of the 3rd Annual Sir Richie Richardson Charity Golf Day, scheduled for April 11, 2026, at the Cedar Valley Golf Club. According to Antigua News Room, the annual event is spearheaded by West Indies cricket legend Sir Richie Richardson.

The fundraiser benefits charitable causes across Antigua and Barbuda. This year's designated recipients are the Bright Minds Project, which assists children with disabilities and those from underprivileged backgrounds, and the Striving for Excellence Antigua Golf Academy, a junior golf development programme.

ECAB Marketing Officer Jessica Russell said the bank is proud to be part of the initiative. "We are excited about supporting this initiative. The Sir Richie Richardson Charity Golf Day represents more than just a sporting event — it's a powerful platform for transforming lives. At ECAB, we believe in investing in our communities, and this event aligns perfectly with our mission to support youth development in Antigua and Barbuda."

Sir Richie Richardson also expressed appreciation for the bank's continued backing. "I would like to thank ECAB — my bank — for being a part of the Sir Richie Richardson Charity Golf Day 2026," he said.

Last year's event raised approximately $70,000, benefiting the selected charities and highlighting the impact of sustained corporate and community collaboration. ECAB's contribution this year further underscores the bank's commitment to community development across the twin-island nation.
