Five Antiguan cricketers have been selected in a 13-member Leeward Islands Hurricanes squad ahead of the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Four-Day Championships, set to begin this weekend, according to Antigua Observer.
Leading the contingent is veteran all-rounder Rahkeem Cornwall, who brings considerable First Class experience to the squad. Cornwall has accumulated 3,258 runs across 95 First Class matches and claimed an impressive 450 wickets, cementing his status as one of the most experienced players in the regional setup.
Cornwall is joined by four other Antiguans in the squad, as reported by Antigua Observer, rounding out a strong local presence in the Hurricanes' 13-man selection for the tournament.
The CWI Four-Day Championships is a premier domestic red-ball competition in the West Indies, offering players the opportunity to stake their claims for higher honours at the regional and international level.
