Tyra Fenton has delivered another gold medal performance for Antigua and Barbuda at the CARIFTA Games, winning the Under-17 girls' 200 metres to bring her total medal count at the meet to three.
According to Antigua News Room, the Antigua and Barbuda Athletic Association (ABAA) confirmed the victory, describing it as another commanding display from the young sprinter.
Fenton entered the 200 metres final having already secured gold in the 100 metres and bronze in the 400 metres earlier in the competition. Her win in the 200 metres rounded off an impressive weekend on the track and cemented her status as one of the nation's standout performers at this year's Games.
The ABAA marked the achievement on social media, stating: "Tyra Fenton does it again—storming to GOLD in the U17 Girls 200m," and noting that the result brought her medal tally to three for the competition.
Fenton's performances across the sprint and middle-distance events have demonstrated both raw speed and versatility, drawing widespread attention at the Games being held at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium in Grenada.
