Antigua and Barbuda's Maliek Francis has secured a bronze medal in the Under-20 boys' javelin throw at the CARIFTA Games, recording a throw of 60.14 metres to claim a podium finish on the regional stage.

According to Antigua News Room, the result adds to Antigua and Barbuda's overall medal tally at the championships and marks a notable achievement for the young field events athlete.

The Antigua Barbuda Athletic Association praised Francis for his performance, describing it as a display of "strength, focus and execution" and stating that the medal was well earned.
