Several Antigua and Barbuda athletes delivered standout performances at the CARIFTA Games, recording new personal bests on the regional stage. According to Antigua News Room, sprinters Delbert Joseph, Geron Henry and Jaeda Pigott were among those raising their individual performance levels at the prestigious meet.

Joseph clocked 21.73 seconds in the Under-20 boys' 200 metres, while Henry posted a time of 21.92 seconds in the Under-17 boys' 200 metres during the morning session. Pigott, competing in the afternoon, returned a time of 2 minutes, 18.03 seconds in the Under-17 girls' 800 metres.

Distance runners also made their mark for the twin-island nation. Shawn-Ze Joseph and Elite Thomas both turned in strong outings in the Under-17 boys' division, finishing at 10:25.48 and 10:31.62 respectively.

The Antigua Barbuda Athletic Association welcomed the results as a sign of progress, stating that the performances signal steady improvement and reflect athletes continuing to raise their standards on the regional stage.
