Antigua and Barbuda's swimming team continued to impress at the CARIFTA Aquatics Championships, securing three additional medals and breaking multiple records on the second day of finals. According to Antigua News Room, the team collected gold, silver and bronze on day two, along with two national records and three age-group records.

Madison MacMillan headlined the day's performances, capturing gold in the 400 metres individual medley with a time of 5 minutes, 15.85 seconds — a national record, age-group record and personal best. Teammate Anya DeGannes followed closely in the same event, taking silver in 5:27.71 and also recording an age-group record and personal best.

Jamie Tranter rounded out the medal haul with bronze in the 50 metres backstroke, posting a personal best of 1:03.91.

Alessandro Bazzoni narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth in the 400 metres individual medley with a time of 5:08.89. Despite missing bronze by just 0.45 seconds, Bazzoni still set both a national record and an age-group record in the process.

Kaylee Warner recorded sixth-place finishes in the 200 metres freestyle and 50 metres butterfly, clocking a personal best of 2:22.75 in the 200 metres freestyle. Alyssa Watkins placed eighth in the 50 metres butterfly and 13th in the 400 metres individual medley.

The strong day two results built on an equally competitive opening day, in which Antigua and Barbuda also claimed three medals. DeGannes won gold in the 100 metres butterfly with an age-group record and personal best, while MacMillan took silver in the 800 metres freestyle and Ellie Shaw earned silver in the 200 metres breaststroke.

Among other day one finalists, Tranter placed fourth in the 50 metres backstroke with a personal best, and Christopher Walter finished fifth in the 100 metres butterfly with a personal best. Warner secured seventh in the 50 metres backstroke and sixth in the 100 metres butterfly, while Watkins placed seventh in the same event.

The Antigua and Barbuda Swimming Federation said the performances reflect continued progress, with athletes delivering record-breaking swims and consistent results across both days of competition.
