Antigua and Barbuda's Geron Henry narrowly missed a place in the Under-17 boys' 200 metres final at the 53rd CARIFTA Games in Grenada on Sunday morning, according to Antigua.news.

Henry finished third in the Section 2 preliminary heats with a time of 21.92 seconds — a result that fell just short of securing one of the two available non-automatic qualifying spots.

Those spots went to Jamaica's Tyler Morgan, who clocked 21.56 seconds in Section 3, and Grenada's Jovanie Green, who posted 21.87 seconds in the same heat. Trinidad and Tobago's Dario Tavernier led all qualifiers with the fastest time of 21.42 seconds.

Despite Sunday's disappointment, Henry had delivered a strong performance the previous day, reaching the Under-17 boys' 400 metres final on Saturday and finishing fourth in a time of 48.74 seconds.
