The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority has signed on as a Gold Sponsor for the 12th edition of the AUA Rohrman Trail & Swim Fest, scheduled for April 11–12, 2026. According to Antigua.news, the renewed partnership reflects a broader strategy to establish Antigua and Barbuda as a premier sports tourism destination.

With registration still open, the event is already drawing a strong international field. More than 100 athletes are expected to travel from across the Caribbean, North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe. The largest contingents are arriving from Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, and the United States. Participants are also confirmed from Canada, Guadeloupe, Ireland, Australia, Poland, Jamaica, Cuba, and beyond — a sign of the festival's growing global reach.

Colin C. James, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, highlighted the event's dual value. "The AUA Rohrman Trail & Swim Fest is an important platform for positioning Antigua and Barbuda as a leading sports tourism destination. This event highlights the very best of our country, from our breathtaking landscapes and pristine waters to our ability to host high-quality international events. With athletes traveling from across the region and around the world, the AUA Rohrman creates meaningful economic impact while promoting our destination globally."

Event Director Rory Butler said the Tourism Authority's backing allows the festival to raise its standards. "The continued support of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority allows us to take the AUA Rohrman to another level. Not only are we welcoming athletes from across the world, but we are now able to showcase Antigua and Barbuda in a truly world-class way, through high-quality video and photography that captures the essence of our island."

The sponsorship will fund professional video production and photography coverage, expanding global exposure for the destination. Organisers say the content will capture athletes racing through some of the island's most scenic and unspoiled locations, placing Antigua and Barbuda more firmly on the international endurance sports map.

The course winds through iconic sites including Rendezvous Bay, Wallings, Cade Peak, Carlisle Bay, and Morris Bay — blending rugged coastal trails, steep climbs, pristine beaches, and turquoise waters into one of the Caribbean's most visually striking race environments.

The festival offers events across all ability levels, including a 5K Walk/Run, 7K, 16K, and 25K Trail Races, 2K and 4K Open Water Swims, Sprint and Olympic Triathlons, and Kids Triathlon Events. Organisers are urging prospective participants to register before spots are filled.
