Antigua and Barbuda's cruise sector closed out March on a strong note, with more than 13,900 passengers and crew arriving at port in a single day, according to Antigua News Room, citing figures from the Antigua Cruise Port.
Four vessels brought the surge of visitors to local shores. Three major cruise ships — the Norwegian Epic, Celebrity Ascent, and Marella Discovery 2 — docked at St. John's Harbour, while the luxury yacht Emerald Sakara anchored at Falmouth Harbour.
The Norwegian Epic led all vessels in passenger volume, carrying 4,877 passengers and 1,560 crew members. The Celebrity Ascent followed with 3,278 passengers and 1,431 crew, while the Marella Discovery 2 brought 1,863 passengers and 742 crew. The smaller Emerald Sakara contributed 94 passengers and 75 crew to the day's total.
The strong one-day arrival figure highlights continued momentum in the country's cruise tourism industry, which remains a key economic driver for businesses in St. John's and surrounding communities.
