Caribbean Airlines has moved to quash rumours of its closure, issuing a firm reassurance to customers and stakeholders that the airline remains fully operational.
In a media release issued Wednesday, the airline's board of directors "categorically rejects" any claims that the company is shutting down, stating that no discussions about closure have taken place. The statement came in direct response to public speculation sparked by a recent media report.
The airline acknowledged that it is continuing to review its operations, describing the process as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the business and improve long-term sustainability. Those efforts, the company said, are focused on maintaining reliable service and robust regional connectivity.
Caribbean Airlines also confirmed that work on its audited financial statements is currently underway. In addition, the airline is in the process of recruiting key senior management personnel to support its strategic direction going forward.
The company closed its statement by thanking customers and stakeholders for their continued confidence, reaffirming its commitment to long-term sustainability and uninterrupted service across its network.
