More than 10,000 cruise passengers and crew came ashore in Antigua and Barbuda on a single day as six vessels docked across the island, delivering a significant boost to local businesses and tourism operators.
According to Antigua News Room, four ships filled St. John's Harbour while two additional luxury vessels were berthed at Falmouth Harbour. The figures were confirmed by Antigua Cruise Port, which reported a total of six cruise ship calls across the island for the day.
The surge in visitor arrivals created heightened demand for taxi drivers, tour guides, merchants and other tourism stakeholders, as thousands of passengers moved through the capital and surrounding communities.
Officials noted that the consistent flow of cruise arrivals continues to drive economic activity across the island.
