Antigua and Barbuda has earned regional recognition in the music world, as local DJ, producer and event promoter DJ Quest has secured a nomination for the 2026 Caribbean Music Awards in the category of Male – International DJ of the Year. According to Antigua.news, the nomination places the Antiguan selector among some of the most prominent names in Caribbean DJ culture.
DJ Quest will compete in a highly competitive field that includes Walshy Fire, DJ Puffy, Bobby Konders and Private Ryan — all widely recognised figures in the regional music scene.
The nomination follows a strong year for DJ Quest on home soil. He was named DJ of the Year at the Antigua & Barbuda National Music Awards in 2025, cementing his standing as one of the country's foremost musical talents.
The Caribbean Music Awards honours creatives and entertainers who have made a significant impact across a broad range of genres throughout the year, including Soca, Reggae, Dancehall, Konpa, Latin, Calypso and more.
For DJ Quest, the regional nod reflects his expanding footprint both at home and abroad, and the cultural impact he has made on Caribbean music.
Antiguans and Barbudans are being urged to support their fellow citizen by casting votes in the preliminary voting round. Voters may select up to three nominees per category, and all responses are kept confidential. Voting is open via an online form.
