The Antigua & Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA) has successfully concluded a four-week Conflict Management and Resolution Course aimed at equipping hospitality and tourism professionals with practical skills to handle workplace conflict effectively.
According to Antigua News Room, the course was led by Ms. Shirlene Nibbs and featured interactive online sessions incorporating group assignments, discussions, and collaborative exercises.
The programme concluded with a final in-person session held at the Trade Winds Hotel Conference Centre, where participants delivered creative presentations outlining strategies for resolving workplace conflict. The ABHTA awarded certificates to all who successfully completed the course, recognising their dedication to leadership, teamwork, and professional development.
Participants described the experience as transformative, citing improvements in communication, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving. Many noted that the strategies gained could be applied immediately within their respective workplaces.
The ABHTA reaffirmed its commitment to developing Antigua and Barbuda's tourism workforce, stating that training programmes of this nature help professionals deliver exceptional service and strengthen the industry as a whole.
