The Antigua and Barbuda Swimming Federation (ABSF) has announced the official team selected to represent the twin-island nation at the 39th CARIFTA Aquatics Championships, scheduled for April 3–8, 2026, in Fort de France, Martinique. According to Antigua News Room, the delegation will feature 14 swimmers who have met the qualifying standards for the prestigious regional competition.
The CARIFTA Aquatics Championships has served as a platform for young Caribbean swimming talent since 1985. The 39th edition is expected to draw participation from approximately 28 countries, including The Bahamas, Barbados, the Cayman Islands, Grenada, St. Vincent, Jamaica, St. Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Antigua and Barbuda's qualified athletes, listed by age group, are as follows:
Girls 11–12: Kaylee Warner, Alyssa Watkins. Boys 11–12: Christopher Walter. Girls 13–14: Anya De Gannes, Keziah Joseph. Boys 13–14: Alessandro Bazzoni, Jamie Tranter, N'yriq Weste. Girls 15–17: Ellie Shaw, Madison Macmillan, Selah Wiltshire. Boys 15–17: Reuben Edwards, Jai Sindhi, Espriit Shaw.
Head Coach Wayne Mitchell will lead the technical staff, supported by Assistant Coach Nelson Molina Fojo. Lisa Isaac-MacMillan will serve as Team Manager, with Ayedele Warner and Daniela Casmiro acting as chaperones. Absatou (Afi) Williams will serve as the team's technical official.
The ABSF congratulated all selected athletes and commended their dedication, discipline, and hard work in reaching this milestone. The Federation also called on the nation to rally behind the team as they prepare to compete on the regional stage.
