His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams, Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda, presented the top award to Mini Globe Race winner Mr. Renaut Stitelmann at a prize-giving ceremony held in Antigua and Barbuda. Race founder Don McIntyre was also in attendance, according to Antigua News Room.

The presentation took place at the official start and finish point of the historic race. Fifteen solo sailors had embarked from the National Sailing Academy on their individual journeys around the world, each returning to Antigua and Barbuda to complete the challenge.

Sir Rodney noted that Antigua and Barbuda is proud to have played a central role in the remarkable endeavour. He highlighted founder Don McIntyre's commitment to accessible, grassroots ocean racing as the driving force that made the Mini Globe Race possible.

The Governor General further emphasized that the event serves as a powerful reminder of Antigua and Barbuda's standing as a premier sailing destination — one fully capable of hosting events of global significance with distinction.
