The Eastern Caribbean Amalgamated Bank (ECAB) has announced the permanent closure of its ATM at Jolly Harbour Commercial Centre, effective March 26, 2026. According to Antigua News Room, the bank issued a formal notice to customers advising them of the discontinuation of services at that location.

In its notice, ECAB acknowledged the ATM's long-standing role in the community, recognising it as a convenient resource for local residents, businesses, and visitors to the area. The bank expressed regret over any disruption the closure may cause.

"This ATM has served the community for many years and we recognise that it has been a convenient service for residents, businesses, and visitors in the area," the bank stated. "We understand that this may cause some inconvenience and sincerely apologise for any disruption this may create."

Customers seeking cash access can use ECAB's broader ATM network at other locations across the island. The bank also encouraged customers to use ECAB debit and credit cards for everyday purchases, as well as its Electronic Payment Services through online banking.

ECAB highlighted several advantages of cashless transactions, including improved security, greater convenience, and faster payment processing. The bank noted that its cards and online payment options are widely accepted by merchants both locally and internationally.

The bank confirmed that no new ATM location in the Jolly Harbour area has yet been identified, but stated it would continue to keep customers informed of any developments. ECAB added that the move is part of broader efforts to improve and expand its remote banking services.
