The Antigua and Barbuda Athletics Association (ABAA) has named sprinter Soniya Jones as the country's sole representative at the World Indoor Track and Field Championships, set to take place in Toruń, Poland, from March 20 to 22, 2026.
According to Antigua News Room, Jones will compete in the women's 60 metres at the prestigious international event. She is affiliated with Western Michigan University and will travel to Poland accompanied by coach Evans Jawakie Jones.
The team is scheduled to depart Antigua and Miami on March 18, with a return expected on March 24, the ABAA confirmed.
The association extended its best wishes to Jones and her coach ahead of the competition, expressing confidence in their performance and wishing them a safe journey.
