In a statement issued following the loss, the owners described the boat as more than a business venture. "It wasn't just a boat; it was the heart of Kaikoconut," they said, adding that it held "countless memories of sunsets, music, laughter, and good times shared with so many."
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Despite the devastating loss, the owners struck a resilient tone, expressing gratitude to supporters who reached out in the aftermath. "Your love and encouragement mean more than you know," they said. "We will take some time to regroup and figure out our next steps."
Kai Coconut had established itself as a signature attraction in Antigua, widely recognized for its distinctive offshore ambiance near Valley Church Beach.
