West Indies Oil Company (WIOC) Limited is urging the public to stop panic-buying LPG cylinders, issuing a firm assurance that there is no shortage of gas or cylinders on the island.
In a press release, WIOC stated clearly that there is no need for members of the public to stockpile at this time. The company's appeal comes amid signs of heightened demand that officials say is being driven by unnecessary public concern rather than any actual supply disruption.
WIOC confirmed that supplies remain adequate to meet the needs of all customers and called on residents to purchase only what they require for normal household use.
