Princess Margaret School has surged to the top of both the girls' and boys' divisions after the opening day of the 2026 Ministry of Sport/Cool & Smooth/JOMA Caribbean National Interschools Track and Field Championships.
Results released following six events at the YASCO Sports Complex place Princess Margaret School atop the female team standings with 44 points. Pares Secondary School sits second with 31 points, and St Anthony's Secondary is third with 25.5 points.
All Saints Secondary holds fourth place with 22 points, while Ottos Comprehensive School rounds out the top five with 21.5 points. Antigua Girls' High School and Sir Novel Richards Academy are tied for sixth with 19 points each. Christ the King High School follows with 18 points, Clare Hall Secondary with 15, St Mary's Secondary School with six, ABCAS with five, and Island Academy with one.
On the boys' side, Princess Margaret School also leads with 37 points after six events. St Joseph Academy is second with 31 points and All Saints Secondary third with 30.
Antigua Grammar School sits fourth with 22 points and ABCAS fifth with 21. Pares Secondary School has accumulated 20 points, Jennings Secondary 18, Clare Hall Secondary 17, and Island Academy 11. Ottos Comprehensive School and St Anthony's Secondary are tied on nine points each, while Irene B Williams Secondary has four. Sr McChesney George and Sir Novel Richards Academy each hold one point.
The championships run over four days, with schools competing across a full programme of track and field events as they vie for the national interschools title.
