The Ministry of Sports has joined forces with the Sir McChesney George Secondary School and the Barbuda Council to ensure Barbuda's participation in the upcoming 2026 Cool & Smooth/Joma Caribbean Inter-schools Track & Field Championships.
A 14-member contingent from the sister isle is set to compete in the championships, which are scheduled to begin on Thursday. The collaborative effort reflects a commitment from both the Ministry and the Barbuda Council to ensure equal sporting opportunities for students across both islands.
Commissioner of Sports played a key role in facilitating the partnership, which brings together government, the Barbuda Council, and Sir McChesney George Secondary School to make the Barbudan delegation's participation possible.
