Grenades FC remain firmly in contention for the Antigua Premier League (APL) title after recording a commanding 5-2 victory over relegation-threatened Ottos Rangers in Monday's lone top-flight fixture, according to Antigua Observer.
The result lifts Grenades to 38 points from 15 matches, leaving them three points behind league leaders and defending champions All Saints United, who have played one additional game.
As reported by Antigua Observer, the Second Division also saw action on the same day, with Guydadli, Young Lions, and Police all recording wins in their respective matches.
The pressure remains on Grenades to continue their winning form if they are to close the gap on United and mount a serious challenge for the championship title. Meanwhile, the result does little to ease the concerns of Ottos Rangers, who remain in danger of relegation as the season progresses.
